The Self-Care Sessions
for Women*
Tuesday 16th July - 10-12am
In-Person Event
Saltdean Lido, Brighton.
Feel overwhelmed?
You are not alone.
What if bubble baths, a glass of wine, and looking forward to a holiday isn't cutting it anymore?
Most women I talk to are feeling stressed out - money, parents, kids, cost of living, teenagers, relationships, health, hormones and more.
Not to mention being affected (and feeling powerless in the face of) global stress; politics, climate change and acts of war.
Since Covid times, there have been unprecedented levels of stress, and women - often being the main caregivers - are carrying huge amounts of it.
We need effective ways to release this extra stress efficiently.
If not just for ourselves, but for our families, our friends and our communities.
How do we release it?
Through radical self-care.
Self-care is not a luxury. It is self-preservation.
Come and learn the techniques that really work and take them home to use in your daily life.
These sessions will encourage you to take your self-care seriously.
If you don't, who will?
You will drop some emotional baggage and leave with clarity, confidence and an action plan.
That’s a promise.
Oh, and there’s tea and cake.
Tuesday 16th July
10-12am
Expect some fun & laughter.
Expect some creativity.
Expect some juicy conversation.
Expect to leave empowered.
Expect to leave with some new (scientifically proven) ways to care for yourself and others.
Self-Care is not an expense, it's an investment.
Release The Stress.
Take Time for You.
Want the details?
We've got you.
Reach out if your question isn't here; we're happy to give you whatever information you need to make the right decision for you. You can reach us at kate@katemarillat.com
Tuesday 14th May
Tuesday 16th July
10am - 12 Midday.
There is a cafe for afterwards, the lido is open from May and it's right next to the beach. When you click to pay, you can choose the date you want.
Yes, there is ample amount of free parking. It is also right next to the beach if you fancy a walk or swim afterwards. Oh and and of course there is a lido (pay for seperately)
Saltdean Lido,
Saltdean Park Road,
Saltdean, Brighton,
BN2 8SP
We do have a couple of spaces reserved for people who need them. Please get in touch at kate@katemarillat.com and we can help.
I know that after the session you won't want a refund and will be signing up for the next month.
However, if you pay and then need to rearrange, you can use it for another session. If you can't make another session, we can figure it out via email as long as you have given me at least 3 days notice and it's a valid reason.
This is an event for women 16+. However, if you have a babe in arms (e.g. not crawling or walking) and want to bring them on the understanding that if they cry you will need to leave the room, then they are welcome to come. Please let me know beforehand at kate@katemarillat.com
Good gosh, no! Not unless you want to. The most important thing is that you share them with yourself. This is a fun session where you will leave with an action plan.
A beach swim, sure! The lido is open from May and if you want to have a swim, and perhaps lunch, use the gym or even the co-working space, then please see their website here www.saltdeanlido.co.uk
I'm the Mum of 2 boys, so I know the importance of safe spaces for males. This is a space for women (including non-binary, gender queer and transwomen.)
After leading groups for over a decade, I know that when you bring a group of women together, magic happens, safety happens and conversations flow. Come! Be part of it.
If you are a man reading this and want a Men's Self-Care group, reach out to me at kate@katemarillat.com and we can find a solution together.
